Chinese New Year Events and Festivals in Houston, 2008

Feb. 9th - Chinese New Year Festival at the Chinese Community Center. One of the largest and most popular festival in Houston.

Feb. 9-10th - Houston 12th Annual Asian Lunar New Year Festival. 11am-4pm. Every year celebration drew over 65,000 attendees at U.S International Center. The event, free and open to the general public, celebrates an important part of Asian Culture. A different animal or mythological beast represents every year in a twelve-year cycle. This year is the Year of Rat. Location: Southern Daily Chinese News Building, 11122 Bellaire Blvd.

Feb. 24, 1-5pm. Lunar New Year Houston: International Celebration of the Year of the Rat. There will be lion dances and firecrackers, at the Viet Hoa Center 8300 W. Sam Houston Pkwy. South @ Beechnut Houston, TX 77072.
