7/31/2006 -- This report takes a bullish look at Chinese search engine Baidu.com. Most analysts say it won't win where it counts among small and midsized businesses, because it's the heaviest users of search engines. The company gets most of its revenue from clicks on text-based ads. In a recent survey, Brean Murray found that the company commands a price premium of about 50 percent over Yahoo! for the best key words.

The future looks good as well, as Hewlett-Packard will pre-install the company's search engine software in all Pavilion and Presario computers it sells in China in October.
