New Year in Chinatown Houston

Well another year has gone by and the beginning of 2006 has arrived. This past Sunday, Jan.1 2006, or New Years Day, I headed with my family to Chinatown Houston for lunch. We decided to eat at Sichuan Cuisine, a well know place to eat Szechaun Food. The food was awesome. I had the sichaun style beef noodle soup and it was the best I have ever tasted. The flavor was right on the mark, the amount of spice was perfect, and the noodle was incredible. We also had their onion pancake, fried dumplings, and sichuan picked vegetable salad. If you have never tried this place, go try it. They even serve hot pot which a lot of people ordered that day.

After lunch, we went grocery shopping at Welcome Food Center and bought a lot of Chinese snacks. Officially, Chinese New Year is not until Jan.29, but we still bought lots fattening foods to eat. Hey have to start off New Years by breaking New Years resolutions right?:)

We decided to catch a movie afterwards. Tinsletown was our next destination as we watched King Kong. The movie was really good and long. A very nice remake of the original King Kong, and with extremely good special effects.

Thats it for my journey for now. I will tell yall about my past Christmas road trip to three states next time. For now, Happy New Years!!
