Houston Chinatown Journey Part 3

Holiday greetings!! It is Asian Waldo here again to tell you about my trip to Houston Chinatown. The holidays are coming up so I had the day off and decided I wanted some good ole fashion Chinese food from a good ole fashion Houston Chinese restaurant. So I decided to visit Tapioca House in Diho Square. They have great combination meals and includes a bubble tea drink. I ordered crispy chicken combination meal with a lavendar milk tea. The crispy chicken meal had rice, crispy chicken, egg, and Chinese cabbage. It tasted awesome! After eating this wonderful meal, I did some Christmas shopping. Inside Diho Square is a store called Moshi Moshi Gift Shop. They sell all kinds of hello kitty type toys and stuff animals, stationary, pens, pencils, clocks, jewelry, and etc. I had to buy a friend of mine a Pikachou stuff animal so that was the best place to but it from. It was really crowded inside due to people like me who wait till the last minute to buy gifts.

After my trip to the gift shop, I headed on over to Welcome Food Center to buy some groceries for the weekend. I decided I want to make beef noodle soup so the ingredients I had to purchase were:

  1. beef strip
  2. beef tendon
  3. Chinese noodle (thick kind)
  4. spinich
  5. and a handful of various spices

I also bought a bunch of Chinese snacks and cookies. After grocery shopping, it was time to head back home and relax. After all, it is Christmas!! Happy Holidays to everyone! - Asian Waldo
